What squalane is
Squalane is a stable, plant-derived version of squalene — a lipid your own skin produces naturally. Because it's structurally similar to skin's own oils, skin recognises and absorbs it readily, without the heavy, greasy film many oils leave behind.
Why it absorbs so fast
That skin-identical quality is exactly why Meu Brilho is dry-touch. The squalane base sinks in within about 90 seconds, carrying the shimmer and conditioning oils with it, so you get glow without grease. It's also non-comedogenic — it won't clog pores — and suits all skin types.
What it does for skin
Squalane is a lightweight moisturiser and a mild antioxidant. It softens and smooths, helps skin hold onto moisture, and pairs perfectly with the meadowfoam and sweet almond oils and vitamin E in the formula. Ours is plant-derived, vegan and cruelty-free — never shark-derived.
