Over lipstick, for shine and dimension
Apply your lipstick first and let it set. Then add a thin layer of lip oil to the centre of the lips and press them together. The oil adds a glassy top-shine and a plumped, dimensional look — turning a flat matte into something softer and more expensive-looking. Use Champagne Pearl over any shade for a subtle glow, or Sexy Pink and Rose Glow to warm the colour.
Over balm, for comfort and wear
If your lips are dry, start with a conditioning balm, let it absorb for a minute, then layer the lip oil on top. The balm gives the oil a smooth base to hold onto, so the shine sits evenly and lasts longer.
To revive lipstick through the day
Matte lipstick can flatten and dry as the day goes on. A quick press of lip oil over the top re-hydrates and brings back shine without having to reapply colour — the easiest mid-day refresh there is.
Keep it thin
The rule for all layering: thin layers. One light pass keeps the finish glassy; too much turns it slippery and shortens the wear. Build gradually if you want more.
