If there's one ingredient that earns its place in a lip oil, it's hyaluronic acid. It's the hero of our Glow & Flow Plumping Lip Oil — here's what it does.
What hyaluronic acid is
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a humectant, which means it attracts and holds water. It can bind many times its weight in moisture, drawing hydration into skin and lips and holding it there. It occurs naturally in the body, and in beauty it's prized for plumping and smoothing.
Why it belongs in a lip oil
Lips have thin skin and no oil glands of their own, so they lose moisture easily and chap quickly. HA helps counter that by pulling moisture into the lips, so they look smoother, softer and more cushioned — the genuine, comfortable version of "plumping." Better-hydrated lips also hold a glossy finish more evenly.
How we pair it
In our Plumping Lip Oil, hyaluronic acid works alongside conditioning coconut oil, argan oil and shea butter, plus vitamin E. The result is a high-shine, non-sticky oil that hydrates as it shines. Vegan and cruelty-free, in three shades: Champagne Pearl, Sexy Pink and Rose Glow.
