The ingredients list on a beauty product tells you more than the marketing on the front does — if you know how to read it. Here's a plain-English guide to INCI labels (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients).
Ingredients are listed by amount
INCI lists run from highest concentration to lowest. The first few ingredients make up the bulk of the formula; ingredients near the end are present in small amounts. One exception: anything under 1% can be listed in any order, so a powerful active can sit near the end and still do real work.
Names you'll recognise
Common ingredients often hide behind Latin or technical names. A few you'll see on ours: Squalane (skin-identical lightweight oil), Cocos Nucifera (coconut oil), Argania Spinosa (argan oil), Butyrospermum Parkii (shea butter), Sodium Hyaluronate (a form of hyaluronic acid) and Tocopherol (vitamin E).
What we leave out
Every Glow and Flow Health product is free from parabens, phthalates and mineral oils. We publish the full ingredient list on every product page — because transparency should be the standard, not a selling point.
